It feels good to stand alone as always…
After all my emotions are mine
And am under no compulsion either to pretend
Or to keep someone else in good stead.
My laugh is mine
And I don’t own anyone's laugh or the curves
That others attribute also to me and my will...or neglect
And I am not like a patient etherized on a table
To be treated by an indifferent physician
Who is just well landscaped but poorly interior decorated.........
